Kitchen Remodel After Pipe Burst
We experience the largest volume of water damages during the winter months. Typically between late December and the end of February our crew works the longest and hardest. This is because our area experiences freezing temperatures. These freezing temperatures can freeze water lines, especially those found in crawl spaces. When temperatures rise above freezing, those water lines though. This back and forth, freezing and expanding, thawing and contracting, causes pipes to burst.
This home experienced a pipe burst. It is not occupied daily, and sometimes not even monthly, so the water leak was not discovered immediately. When it was found, SERVPRO of Murray, Benton, Cadiz, and Princeton came to the scene (even though it was late at night!) and extracted water. We then had the privilege of helping the homeowner put their home back together with new cabinets and countertops.
